Tender description

This Contract will focus on improving recycling rates by recycling advisors meeting householders face to face and educating, helping and advising them how to reduce their waste and actions they can take to prevent and Re-Use waste. The Contractor will provide 3 full time equivalent members of staff to carry out a range of activities within the Devon's District Councils and Torbay Council to meet the following outcomes: To identify locations where recycling performance is poor using data, local knowledge or working with the crews and recycling and enforcement officers. To make visits to households and offer advice on how to improve their performance. To review performance in communal areas and problem solve with the Councils' officers. To attend road shows to promote the 3Rs (Reducing, Re-Using and Recycling waste). To offer advice on home composting, food waste reduction and other waste prevention initiatives. To assist Councils' officers in measuring the impact of their work.
