Tender description

This is a requirement for the provision of Housing Information and Advice Services (HIAS). It is required for 26 establishments in the London, Eastern, Kent and Sussex areas. The requirements vary depending on the need of individual prisons, but on the whole it is to provide Housing Information Support and Advice to prisoners upon induction to prison and prior to release. The aim of the service is to protect existing accomodation, prevent homelessness through the securing of accomodation, managing housing benefit and problems with rent arrears whilst working in conjunction with other existing agencies, housing providers, statutory bodies, voluntary sector organisations and financial institutions. The requirement will be split in to 18 lots with suppliers able to bid for as many or as few lots as they like.
