Prior Information Notice: Provision of e-services for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks (for the Care Quality Commission)

Tender description

The Care Quality Commission (“CQC”) is inviting Expressions of Interest in a potential requirement for the provision of e-services for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. CQC would welcome expressions of interest from approved e-Broker organisations who can: • Offer an e-bulk platform to facilitate the administration of DBS checks electronically; • Provide bespoke ID checking services for staff; and • Provide management information reporting to enable CQC to manage, verify and track all applications within the checking process including initial confirmation, in order to establish if a check is clear or contains information. Please note that at this stage CQC only wishes to gather expressions of interest only in this potential service requirement - this Prior Information Notice is not a call for tenders or a pre-qualification exercise. It has been developed to provide CQC with information to potentially inform future service requirements which CQC may pursue.
