(NU/1212) Armstrong Window Supply

Tender description

The Armstrong is a grade II listed building located on the north side of the campus facing the Royal Victoria Hospital. The renovation works are to be carried out to the vast majority of the building, approximately 7000m2. The renovation will typically consist of academic offices, teaching spaces, school administration areas and corridors. It is also expected that external renovation of the inner courtyard and frontage to the building will be required. Works to the external fabric, such as window glazing replacement may also be included in the project. A new vertical lift is also part of the proposed works. Three small phases have already been completed over the last 3 years. Phase 5A is now on site with completion due in August. Phase 5B will commence in October/November 2015 and will be on site for approximately 12 months. In addition to the above, due to the specialist nature of the requirement, it has been decided to let a separate contract for the windows. This tender is for the appointment of a manufacturer to produce and deliver all required windows (the install is to be carried out by main contractor appointed to Phase 5B).
