Mechanical Barrier Solution

Tender description

A Framework Agreement to provide a Crowd Control Barrier. This will be a rapidly deployable robust, mechanical barrier, resistant to Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) agent degradation (a specific list of agents will be provided to those suppliers whose equipment submission is to be tested), that will be capable of assisting in the protection of key assets and enhance road and area closures, and prevent or help facilitate safe human passage through a police cordon line. It must be readily re-deployable by no more than 2 persons in CBRN Personal Protective Equipment (details of the PPE will be provided to those suppliers who are invited to tender) with minimal operating, training or skills requirements, to alternative locations. It must be trailer borne (and within the train weight of existing fleet vehicles). In addition to this, the supplier will be required to provide associated goods, services and guarantees including: 1) any additional accessories; 2) consumables; 3) maintenance; 4) 4 years warranty.
