Tender description

The National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) is re-launching its High Potential Development Scheme (HPDS). We would like to work with one or more academic partners on strategically important collaborations to develop and implement a series of high level leadership programmes to be designed to take police leadership in the United Kingdom into the 21st Century. Within our Leadership Strategy are four leadership development programmes that are scheduled to be launched over the next 2 years, commencing with the High Potential Development Scheme. Following rigorous selection these programmes require candidates to undergo development to equip them to be future senior leaders. The NPIA seeks expressions of interest from academic partners to collaborate with the NPIA. This is to establish, accredit and provide academic assurance for these programmes to enable candidates to achieve, as part of their development, recognised qualifications at post-graduate level. This will involve design, co-delivery and assessment of candidates’ work at the cutting edge of leadership training. Potential partners should be an accrediting authority and experienced in working with large corporate & public sector organisations in leadership development programmes. This represents a unique opportunity to be part of a high-profile, national leadership programme supported by the Home Office, Association of Police Authorities and the Association of Chief Police Officers. Closing date for registration: 28th March 2008. The NPIA is completely committed to the promotion of equality and diversity, and we welcome working with Partners who share our commitment.
