Tender description

3 year requirement for the supply of Dismounted Close Combat (DCC) Gloves. Legislation/standards: BS EN 388:2003 & BS EN 420:2003 Level 4 A DCC is required to provide protection to service personnel in operational environments. Protection afforded should allow the user to perform all combat associated tasks including the use of weapons and activities including crawling and rapid prone to standing movements assisted by the knuckles and hands. The gloves must be fire retardant and water repellent and be able to be cared for as per normal washing instructions. Estimated quantity over the 3 year period for the Royal Marines: 12 500 Quantity subject to change (possibly fourfold) if the Army adopt this glove for operations.
