Stray Dog Kennel and Re-homing service

Coventry City Council has a statutory responsibility for ensuring its Stray dog functions are discharged correctly by virtue of Section 149(2) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and this contract will delegate those functions for the Reception, Kennelling, Return of Stray dogs or Re homing of unclaimed dogs where possible. The Council deals with approximately 300 stray dogs each year . The provider would be expected to accept all stray dogs delivered by or on behalf of the Council on an as and when required basis. The provider will also have a successful record in re-homing unclaimed dogs. The kennels need to meet the physical standards for construction required by law In order for the Council to assess whether there would be potential interest in this contract, we ask that you would register your organisation via www.csw-jets.co.uk no later then 1st December 2016.
