Tender description

The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham is about to re-procure its Passenger Transport Framework (ranging from minibuses to smaller vehicles/taxis) for eligible children, young people and adults in the Borough and we would like invite you to a Market Engagement Day that is taking place on the 21 November 2016 from 09.00 – 12.30 at Hammersmith Town Hall. The vehicles required will to transport passengers will include cars, estate cars, multi-purpose vehicles, minibuses and coaches, including specially-adapted vehicles for the carriage of wheelchairs. Journeys may be required on a regular or ad hoc basis and mostly within the Authority boundaries and the surrounding areas, but some longer distance journeys will be required. Services may also require the provision of passenger assistants. With depot space available we would welcome providers, large or small, who are looking to establish themselves and who want to make an impact on the service users of the Borough. The overall purpose of this re-procurement is to build quality care and support elements into our transport arrangements for eligible children & young people (many of whom with Special Educational Needs) and adults with learning and physical disabilities. We want to ensure they receive person-centred services that recognise and cater for their individual needs. The aims of the market day are to set out our vision of travel care and support in terms of outcomes for children and adults; to articulate the aims of the new service and to ensure the views of parents and carers are promoted and heard by potential providers.
