Tender description

This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to notify the market that Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) NHS Trust plans to host market research supplier event on Monday 28th November 2016 to further develop its understanding of the market for an Ambulance Preparation Service (often referred to as a Make Ready service). The aim of the Ambulance Vehicle Preparation process is to ensure that front-line emergency and urgent care vehicles are clean, fully equipped, and prepared for service whenever and wherever they are required. Although the exact scope of the tender is to be confirmed, a high-quality Make Ready service delivery model typically encompasses vehicle cleaning; medical stock management; asset control; and the movement of vehicles. YAS potentially have eight sites where an Ambulance Vehicle Preparation service could be required. Two are already operational under pilot schemes with the expectation that future sites may follow during 2017. At this stage, the exact scope of the tender is under consideration and YAS is keen to listen to the views of potential bidders. This discussion, along with a presentation on the background of the current pilots will take place at the event on the 28.11.2016. In the event that YAS decides to formally commence procurement activities pursuant to this PIN, a separate Contract Notice will be issued. If a Contract Notice is published YAS will rely on the publication of this PIN to utilise the minimum time-frames permissible under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
