Leicestershire Rural Grass, Hedge & Grip Cutting 2017-19

Tender description

1.1 Leicestershire County Council (the Employer) is seeking to identify and appoint a Contractor to provide a Rural Grass, Hedge and Grip cutting service. The service consists of the following elements: - 3x Planned rural grass cuts consisting of ; 1x Visibility Grass Cut Only, 2x Single Swathe and Visibility Grass Cuts - Return visits for top-up to Full Width Grass Cut (Provisional) - 1x Planned Rural Hedge Cut - 1x Planned Rural Grip Cut - The supply of; Tractor, Tractor Driver, Flail and Fuel for Engineer Instructed Day Works as required - Temporary Traffic Management In order to ensure value for money and affordability the Employer will evaluate the financial aspects of the tender in accordance with ITT clause 6.3 and award a contract as follows: - The minimum contract required will be to provide a service to carry out planned Rural Grass, Hedge and Grip cutting to the Employers asset and Engineer Instructed Day Works. - The 1x Full Width Grass Cuts are an optional additional part of the service for the Contractor to provide The estimated total contract value is £425,000 per annum. The proposed contract period is 2 years with potential extensions of a further 2 years in one year increments subject to performance. The Employer intends to appoint one Contractor(s) to provide the service.
