Tender description

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the “Council”) wishes to establish a programme of services with a maximum of three (3) suitable providers for a delivery period of thirty six (36) months (3rd April 2017 to 31st March 2020) for:- • Works Better Calderdale (“Lot 1”); and • Works Better Kirklees (“Lot 2”), and • Works Better Wakefield (“Lot 3”), each part of the European Social Fund Local Flexibility for Reducing Unemployment Programme in Leeds City Region. The approximate total value for these services will be £1,810,000 for the entire thirty six (36) month duration of the programme. Subject to European Social Funding being secured the Works Better will deliver across Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield to address the barriers faced by all age groups seeking employment, irrespective of background and personal circumstance. Offering a tailored support package Works Better will support residents to help them secure sustained employment. Programme activities will be inclusive to all ESF eligible residents, helping them to identify barriers that prevent them entering the labour market and offering a comprehensive and innovative matrix of support activities.
