INVITATION TO TENDER for the Provision of Solar PV installations at 11 sites (separate Lots) for St Edmundsbury Borough Council and Forest Heath District Council

Tender description

In May 2015 the Authority launched “West Suffolk Solar for Business”, a commercial rent-a-roof solar photovoltaic scheme aimed at small and medium sized enterprises primarily based in West Suffolk. The scheme is open to small and medium sized enterprises as well as not-for-profit organisations. Eligible businesses will host solar PV installations funded by the Authority. An air space lease will be drawn up between the Authority as the tenant with the host business being the landlord. Once installed, the installations will remain the property of the Authority for the duration of the lease. The Authority will receive the Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) and sells the generated electricity to the business at an agreed price under a Power Purchase Agreement. The Authority is seeking Quotes for the design, installation, commission of Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited Solar PV systems and registration to the Feed in Tariff (“the Works”). The Authority has identified 11 sites for the execution of the Works and is seeking Quotations for each or all of the sites (the Lots). An Information Pack is provided separately with this Invitation to Quote providing a plan of each site.
