Tender description

Having secured funding, the NTPF wish to establish a new initiative whereby arrangements for the provision of hospital treatment to persons on public hospital waiting lists can be facilitated. In accordance with ‘Programme for a Partnership Government’ and the recent Budget for 2017, additional funding of EUR16 million, rising to EUR51 million in 2018, will be allocated to the National Treatment Purchase Fund Board (NTPF) to be used as part of a focused initiative to address waiting lists. Various analysis, including a breakdown by medical specialty, of the waiting lists are available on the NTPF website at www.ntpf.ie To facilitate this initiative and the possible roll out of other initiatives by the public sector health bodies to address waiting lists, the NTPF wish to engage in a market consultation with providers interested in providing hospital treatments. The objective of this consultation is to seek provider views on the issues that may need to be addressed in private sector suppliers assisting in the reduction of waiting lists as outlined below in 11.2.14 Additional information.
