Provision of High Quality Stop Smoking Services in England for 2017 - 20. PHE intends to recommission the national training function to support high quality stop smoking services in England, commencing 1.4.2017, renewing on an annual basis, for 3 years. PHE continues to require a national training function to enhance and maintain the quality and consistency of stop smoking interventions delivered across the country, providing specialist practitioners with the knowledge and skills to deliver effective evidence-based interventions. 4.3.
