Earlier this year, Newcastle City Council undertook a soft market testing exercise to consider the full range of options for the future procurement of the supply and maintenance of its street furniture and associated advertising rights. Following on from this, work has been undertaken to establish: • The level of bus shelter provision • The mechanisms for funding replacement shelters Therefore we would like to undertake a market engagement exercise prior to formulating any formal procurement opportunity in order to: • Provide an update on the work undertaken for the above provision and how this differs from previous soft market testing • Seek feedback on the cost models being considered at this stage • Gather feedback on the scope of the contract • Feedback on both achievable and ambitious targets .
