Tender description

The Authority has commissioned a £3.2m contract for the provision of a replacement Floating Bridge which will operate between Cowes and East Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The contract was won by Welsh boat building firm Mainstay Marine Solutions based in Pembroke Dock in Pembrokeshire; it is scheduled for delivery in early 2017 and should be operational by the end of March. The Authority is seeking an established media agency that can effectively retail the advertising opportunities that exist and maximise the associated income which will offset the annual revenue operating costs of the bridge. The opportunities include poster frames, LED televisions and the hulls of the bridge itself; however the Authority also welcomes the views of the tenderers onother opportunities that can be exploited to generate additional advertising based revenue.
