Tender description

The Contractor will be required to Supply Solar PV and Thermal Panels, Install them, and Maintain them. They will also be required to maintain any Panels installed by the incumbent Contractor, once these panels have been in situ for more than 12 months, and to monitor the performance of all existing and new installations. Stirling Council's primary objectives for installing solar photovoltaic systems include: A. Reducing energy costs for Stirling Council owned public buildings; B. Reducing energy costs for Stirling Council housing tenants and thus reduce fuel poverty; C. Reducing the carbon footprint of Stirling Council's public buildings portfolio and social housing stock; D. Improving the energy performance rating of Stirling Council's public buildings portfolio and social housing stock; and E. Maximising opportunities to generate an income stream from the installation of solar photovoltaic systems. Stirling Council is looking to award a Term Contract for the Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Solar PV and Thermal Panels for Social Housing and Council Buildings. It is intended that the Contractor will be suitably experienced, and must be Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited, or have an equivalent and approved accreditation. Accreditation must be maintained for the duration of the Contract. The Contractor must be NICEIC / SELECT or equivalent, and must also be PVG certified.
