Tender description

The service will work with parents of young people aged up to 18 years who are in need of care and protection as defined by the Children Act 1989. The provider will be expected to deliver 2 key elements of provision within a single overarching service. The two key elements of the provision are: — Parenting support services offering a range of high quality parenting support services, which inform, empower and support parents in their roles as care givers; — Parenting support programme that is evidence based within Royal Borough of Greenwich. The Parenting Support services enables the Royal Borough of Greenwich to meet its statutory duty in accordance with Children's Act 1989 to secure the safety and well-being of the children within the family by enabling parents to improve their parenting skills. The contract will be let for 2 years from the 1.9.2016, subject to an annual review of performance. There will be the option to extend the contract for 1 further year. The maximum budget available for the provision of this service is 270 000 GBP per annum. The contract will be let on the basis that volume of work is not guaranteed, and this value may increase or decrease over the lifetime of the contract subject to volume and the availability of funding.
