Summary of the work The Immigration IT Portfolio is building services to transform how Home Office manages immigration into UK. Including: a) The HO core caseworking system, replacing several existing systems that collectively supports >23000 users in end to end case management. b) Access UK an on-line application tool for Immigration and Visa applications. Specialist role Designer Expected Contract Length Up to 2 years Latest start date 19/12/2016 Who Speclialist Work With There are a number of suppliers working across the portfolio .Collaborative working is key as the supplier will be working alongside civil servants and other suppliers, including our client side partner. Business Services will operate at both a Portfolio level and within each project ensuring consistency and co-ordination of business delivery. What Specialists Work On The specialist will be assigned to one of the projects within the Immigration IT Portfolio. Skills & Experience • UI Prototyping • Adaptation to device screen sizes • Adaptation to browser types and versions • Creating accessible digital services and accessibility standards • Creating secure digital services • Supporting Test Automation • Design Research and re-use • Branding and Graphic Development • User Guides/Storyline and contextual help • GOV.UK and the Government Digital Service, and the service assessment Nice to Haves • Previous experience of Public Sector business change • Previous experience of successful collaborative working as part of a multi-supplier delivery team • • Previous experience of working within Scaled Agile Work Location 165 Fleet Street London EC4A 2AE andMetro Point 49 Sydenham Road Croydon CR0 2EU. All posts will be working in Croydon by April 2017. Working Arrangments The supplier resources will be expected to be co-located with the project team-at either of the locations above. There will be a requirement for some travel to business locations across the UK on an ad-hoc basis. The suppler resources should be physically on site Monday-Friday (may involve moving between Home Office sites from time to time). Approximate hours are 9:00 – 18:00. Occasional evening and weekend working will be required. Security Clearance Supplier personnel will be expected to apply for and be capable of gaining SC security clearance. A minimum of BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) will be required to commence work. Who should submit evidence? Evidence should only provided by bidders that can confirm yes to all Technical and Nice to have experience. IMPORTANT NOTE: All responses MUST be received by Home Office IPT Commercial Mailbox by 11:59 on the on the closing date of this procurement IPTCommercial@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk. Responses after this time will not be considered. 3. What format must Evidence be in? Evidence must be in CV format. All CV’s MUST be provided in Portable Document Format (.pdf). The CV file must be in the following format: ‘YYMMDD_PROC**_SUPPLIER NAME_Candidate Name_CV_RoleTitle. Responses in any other format will NOT be evaluated. 4. How many candidate CV can bidders submit for each role? Please send ONE cv only for this role and list the name of the candidate on the front email. 5. What is the maximum number of pages of CV and Font Size? The maximum number of pages per CV is 4 sides of A4 in Arial, font size 12. Any CV which is longer than the specified limits will be truncated and only the [4] four sides of A4 will be evaluated 6. Can bidders include Links within CV or embed or attached files to email submission? No. The response should be ‘self contained’ i.e. do not link to external information as it will NOT be evaluated. Do not ‘embed or attach’ files or other ‘objects’ within any of the documents or to your email response – they will not be opened (nor evaluated). 7. Will all responses automatically be evaluated? NO. THE AUTHORITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY RESPONSE WHICH IS HAS NOT FOLLOWED THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS 8. Is the Authority only looking to award a single contract with one provider? The Authority reserves the right to award to one or more providers or not to award at all. 9. What is the maximum charge rate(per day) for this role?) The Authority has not listed a day rate as we do not want to restrict suppliers providing competitive costs for the role. 10. What assessment methods will be used for this requirement? One or more of the following assessment methods will be used: work history, reference, interview and presentation. 11. How many cvs can suppliers submit for each role? Suppliers can submit one cv for each role. This requirement covers 2 roles and each supplier can submit a maximum of 2 cvs. 12. Are the Nice to Have skills mandatory?FAQ 1 lists ‘Who should submit evidence? ‘Answer: Evidence should only provided by bidders that can confirm yes to all Technical and Nice to have experience. Any responses unanswered or has not confirmed yes will NOT be considered.
