Summary of the work The roles are for experienced Business Architects working with Agile teams to design operating models and associated business architecture artefacts in order to deliver a more efficient, user-focused immigration service. The roles will work closely with Product Owners, Technical Architects and Scrum Teams, and oversee the work of Business Analysts. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length One Year Latest start date Week commencing 28 November plus/minus one week Who Speclialist Work With Home Office civil servants, contractors and suppliers. What Specialists Work On The Business Architects will work on projects and programmes within the Immigration IT Portfolio which are focused on improving the technology and services used to deliver the visa and immigration service for the UK. Deliverables will include value streams, customer journeys, capability models, business processes, delivery roadmaps and other elements of target operating models Skills & Experience • Significant experience in Business Design / Business Architecture • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) • Ability to decompose complex problems • Experience working in an Agile environment Nice to Haves • Experience managing a team of Business Analysts • Experience working in the public sector Work Location Metro Point, Croydon (1 x role) Vulcan House, Sheffield (1 x role) Working Arrangments The Business Architects should be physically on site Monday-Friday (may involve moving between Home Office sites from time to time). Approximate hours are 9:00 – 18:00. What format must Evidence be in? Evidence must be in CV format. All CV’s MUST be provided in Portable Document Format (.pdf). How many candidate CV can bidders submit for each role? Please send one cv only for this role and list the name of the candidate on the front email. 5. What is the maximum number of pages of CV and Font Size? The maximum number of pages per CV is 4 sides of A4 in Arial, font size 12. Any CV which is longer than the specified limits will be truncated and only the [4] four sides of A4 will be evaluated 6. Can bidders include Links within CV or embed or attached files to email submission? No. The response should be ‘self contained’ i.e. do not link to external information as it will NOT be evaluated. Do not ‘embed or attach’ files or other ‘objects’ within any of the documents or to your email response – they will not be opened (nor evaluated). 7. Will all responses automatically be evaluated? At this time the Authority does not wish to disclose the budget envelope as we believe this will encourage more competitive rates from the market. 11. Where are CVs to be submitted to please? Please the response to supplier question 8 12. Specialists procurements are normally for only one individual but this one is for two. Can we put forward one CV for the Croydon based role only or will you disqualify anyone who doesn't put forward a Sheffield based person as well? Will you evaluate the two CVs separately or will you award both to a single supplier? Yes one CV can be submitted for one location either Croydon or Sheffield.The CVs will be evaluated separately and the Authority reserves the right to award to one or more suppliers. 13. Do suppliers need to specify the preferred location for each CV submitted? All bidders to note they need to clearly state the preferred location for each CV submitted.
