Tender description

The University is seeking to create a framework of established, creative, experienced, professional stills photographers used to working in a commercial environment for a range of projects for the University of Leeds; including (but not limited to) formal and informal events (such as launch events and networking, conferences, open days, graduations etc); group shots and portraits (with students, visitors and families, and academics both on and off-campus); buildings on campus and in the city; reportage work (for press releases and news items); facilities (such as halls of residence, labs, libraries etc). Must be flexible to work with or without an assistant, have a good range of professional equipment and post production capabilities. Must adhere to the University's photographic guidelines and be capable of providing creative solutions to briefs where appropriate. You will need to have a minimum of 1 000 000 GBP public liability insurance and we would expect you to relinquish images to us for unlimited use, whilst retaining copyright (IPR) for self-promotion only. Our yearly spend on external photographers is estimated to be circa 100 000 GBP per annum and would be distributed across a number of suppliers (estimated to be 25 maximum) selected with reference to geographical location and specialisms. The locations would include a range of reportage and staged work in the University of Leeds, at partner sites or event locations, all of which could take place anywhere in the UK and occasionally abroad.
