Market Testing - Springhill Dementia Hub

Tender description

In Summer 2016, a tender went on The Council’s e-procurement site for a holistic service for people with Dementia and also a residential offer for people with Learning Disabilities. The tender was led by Rochdale Adult Care in partnership with our CCG. The CCG services, which are a part of the offer from Springhill, were not tendered out. The main components of service delivery within the initial tender were:- • LD residential offer • Short Term residential respite offer for people with dementia including early onset dementia • Building Based Day support service for people with dementia including people in the residential units • Community Based Day support offer for people in the community with dementia • Community café which will be a hub for providing meaningful activity • Carers space where carers could get together in a self-help format to provide peer support, socialising and networking opportunities but also receive information and advice, training and support as required. From the tender evaluation, the Council were unfortunately unable to award a contract Since then The Council has made a series of proposed changes to the Specification that we would like to share with the Market for comment.
