Contract for Post Adoption Support Services

Tender description

The primary objective of the Contract is to provide a range of high quality post adoption support services which benefits the service user, meets the registration requirements for local authority Adoption Services in accordance with current regulations, guidance and the National Minimum Standards for Adoption 2011. Services to include:- Provision of support and advice to birth parents and those who are affected by the adoption of their children. To provide support guidance and counselling to birth relatives, adopted children / young people and adoptive parents in respect of any issues they may have in relation to adoption and the adoption process. To assist and advise adopted adults on how to gain access to their birth records. To provide advice on post adoption issues to any workers employed by or on behalf of the Council. The expected start date for the proposed contract is 1st April 2017. The expected end date for the proposed contract is 31st March 2018. The proposed contract is to be let with an option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months from the actual end date, subject to the right of the Authority (at its sole discretion) to exercise its right to extend.
