Summary of the work Automation Tester/Analyst (Churchill) Specialist role Quality assurance analyst Expected Contract Length mid August 2017. Latest start date 02/12/2016 Who Speclialist Work With MOD civil servants, military personnel and contractors. What Specialists Work On Write & execute automation test scripts using C#/F#/Selenium, Canopy/F#/ Specflow against Oracle Applications. Installation/configuration/integration/migration of Oracle Application. Manage activities against development & system integration test environment including builds and deployment. Co-ordinate and support the release of codes to the system PPE/Production Environment. Deliver presentation & demonstration of automation test scripts to the team. Write/maintain User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Tasks and other documentation. Participate in user requirement workshops, planning and sprint meetings. Provide test estimates and story points and attend other Scrum ceremonies. Design the test strategy for new work streams/proof of concept, suggesting new tools and building prototype frameworks. Skills & Experience • Extensive experience of Selenium/C#/ and Canopy/F#/Specflow, against .NET applications • Competency and proven ability in the use of TFS Test Manager to maintain test suites, execution of tests and defect tracking • Competency and proven ability in executing test scripts/scenarios, as well as complex installation guides • Experience of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and BDD automation tests. • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills, especially with technical team members • Ability to develop and maintain clear and concise documentation to a high professional standard • Write and execute test scripts/scenarios focusing on the production of regression tests and smoke scripts for the migrated applications • Provide advice and guidance to project teams on Agile software testing • Review all project documentation and provide test effort required to deploy each application • Collaborate with development team and Delivery Manager • Produce Test Reports and Release Notes against IAS Test Templates • Working within a defence environment Nice to Haves • Agile qualification e.g. Agile Certified Tester, Certified Scrum Master • Scope types of testing and effort required to deploy each application • Previous Development experience • Demonstrable ability to analyse test results pertaining to security vulnerability • At least 2 years of SQL experience within an Automated Testing environment • At least 5 years experience as a Test Analyst/Engineer • At least 3 years experience as an Automation Tester • At least 3 years experience of working within cross functional Agile teams Work Location Army Headquarters, Andover Working Arrangments On-site for the working week. Working hours are Monday-Friday (may involve some travel to other locations). Approximate hours are 08:30 - 17:00. Travel and expenses will be capped according to the MOD's expense policy.
