Portsmouth City Council, ‘the Authority’, has awarded a contract to deliver an Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service. Outcomes include: — To commission a lower threshold open access service that supports children and young people and families. — To develop a Peer Support Model and Recovery College for children, young people and families. The contract start date is 1.1.2017. The initial Contract period will be for 2 years with the possibility of extending the term by a further 3 years to a maximum total term of 5 years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of all parties. The contract requirement is for a citywide Emotional Health and Wellbeing service for children, young people and their families. The service will support children, young people and their families by building resilience, improving emotional wellbeing and supporting good mental health by providing the following: — Informal support for young people and their families. — A citywide targeted therapeutic counselling service for young people and their families. — To develop opportunities for peer support between young people and families.
