Sustainability Appraisal (SA) of the Revised South Marine Plans

Tender description

The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) is seeking to procure contractors to assist in the development and management of one Sustainability Appraisal (SA) process for the South Marine plan areas. The next part in this process is to undertake additional work; specifically a Sustainability Appraisal of the revised plans and a statement of SA for the post consultation south marine plans. Marine Plans are being developed with reference to the Marine Policy Statement (MPS) and ‘A description of the Marine Planning System for England’. The first two marine plans and their SA can be found at http://www.marinemanagement.org.uk/marineplanning/areas/east_plans.htm. The South Marine Plan will be produced between 1st of April 2013 and 2017. The SA process has and will continue throughout this period, feeding into the plan-making processes and content of the South Marine Plan.
