Provision of Short Breaks and Support and Enablement Services

Re-advertisement of and Extended Application period for the Short Breaks and Support and Enablement Approved Provider List Wakefield Council is continuing with its establishment of an Approved List of Service Providers to deliver Short Breaks and Support and Enablement services to Children and Young People with special educational needs and disability (SEND). The Approved Provider List (APL) will remain open for Service Providers to apply for admission up to the extended date of 31 January 2020. Applications will be assessed on a monthly basis and applicants will be kept informed of progress. Types of Service The Approved Provider List will be split into the following types of service: • Lot A1 – Individual Support in the Home (daytime and evening services) • Lot A2 - Individual support in the Home (overnight – waking and sleeping night services) • Lot B – Personal Assistance • Lot C – Group Activities 1: Out of school activities term time and weekends • Lot D – Group Activities 2: Activities during schools holidays Further information can be found in the refreshed documentation/application Keywords: SEND, support, activities, enablement
