Network Core Replacement

Tender description

The University of Cumbria wishes to appoint a partner to review, design, replace and deliver a CISCO WAN network capable of meeting the University’s core network requirements for up to the next 10 years. The contract is for the co-design, supply of a solution (consultancy, installation, transition of service from existing CISCO and Brocade XMR hardware) and accredited vendor specific training for University Analysts. A ‘ground up’ approach to design should be undertaken. A support and maintenance contract is not included and can be deemed as out of scope. The appointment will be by means of a mini-competition through the North East Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) Framework Agreement for: NETWORKING – SUPPLY & SERVICES ITS2001 NE. The mini-competition will be held on Lot 2 of the above framework. The University reserves the right not to award from the mini-competition. A maximum of 2 responses from each supplier will be accepted.
