AFBI currently provide all TB related testing services for DAERA, one of which is testing for TB using the IFN gamma test in support of the TB disease control programme. The IFN test is recommended by Council Directive 64/432/EEC and the Food and Veterinary Office of the European Commission, as a supplementary test to the intradermal test, to enable detection of the maximum number of infected and diseased animals.
