Freemen's School - Cleaning, Catering & Housekeeping Soft Market Testing

This is a soft market testing exercise that seeks input from the market to establish the most attractive way of packaging and scoping a potential future procurement opportunity for the Freemen’s School Catering, Cleaning and Housekeeping Services. We are seeking to invite suitable suppliers to respond to this questionnaire and, where clarification is required, attend a short meeting at the School for an informal exchange of ideas. The City is seeking to test the feasibility of potential procurement options, the markets capacity and capability to deliver these options and the maturity of the market to compete for these options. The City is also seeking feedback from the market and interested stakeholders on the potential social value improvements this service could bring in terms of social, economic and environmental benefits. The Freemen’s School’s current Catering, Cleaning and Housekeeping Services are valued at approximately £1.2m per annum and the services are currently delivered under a sole supplier arrangement. The current contract covers the following functions: • Catering – daily breakfast, lunch and dinner (including weekends for Boarders), match teas (including Saturdays), School functions (prize day, open mornings, parent’s evenings, sports tour fundraisers etc.), Summer Schools and Weddings, parties etc. • Cleaning – All buildings daily, specialist cleans in holiday periods • Housekeeping – portering, transport, low level security, stationery ordering & reception.
