Tender description

SFRS has a requirement for the provision and fitting of Combined Cold Cutting and Ultra High Pressure Fire Fighting Equipment to their appliances. There will be an initial requirement for a number of the equipment to be provided and fitted in order to allow SFRS to conduct a 6 month pilot evaluation of the equipment in an operational environment. Dependant on the outcome of this pilot, SFRS may purchase further units to be deployed within each Service Delivery Area. The system shall support firefighting operations from outside the fire compartment The system shall provide a piercing/cutting capability through all conventional construction materials: brick/stone/breeze block/construction block/sheet metal/ concrete (including reinforced)/sandwich panels/timber The lance/branch must be constructed in such a manner as to be easily operated safely by a single person unaided. The equipment required under this lot is specifically to equip fire fighting crews to attack fires and improve fire conditions prior to entry into a compartment. It will reduce risk to fire fighters, reduce fire damage and increase the ability of the fire fighter to make interventions at compartmental fires.
