Tender description

Design and construction of Epping Forest Shopping Park. Appointment of a Main Contractor to develop a retail shopping park, via a JCT Design and Build form of contract. The site is located to the south of Langston Road, just north of Junction 5 of the M11 motorway, and south of Debden train station, in Loughton, Essex. The development will comprise of 15 individual retail units of varying sizes, with a self contained management suite. The amount of development is 8 818 sqm GIA ground floor (9 274 sqm GEA) and is mezzanine compliant in planning terms but these will be provided by the individual retailers to suit their shop-fitting plans. The total Nett retail Area is 12 915 sqm. The requirement also includes car parking facilities and a service road to the rear, this will be accompanied by soft landscaping of the area. 2 entrances will be provided to the shopping park. Works include the construction of a retaining wall to the rear of the site.
