The purpose of this notice is to draw the attention of potential suppliers to a procurement that Wiltshire Council intends to commence within the next 3 Months which will comprise 2 distinct projects; A350 Phase 3 Chippenham Bypass Dualling Scheme The Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership’s Strategic Economic Plan (SEP), sees improvements to the A350 Chippenham Bypass as a key enabler to accelerating economic growth in the A350 Growth Zone. The A350 provides an important north-south link through western Wiltshire connecting Chippenham with the M4 to the north and the A36 to the south. Phase 3 of the A350 Chippenham Bypass Improvements (Badger-Brook & Chequers) scheme also aligns strongly with the economic growth aspect of the Local Transport Plan (LTP3) overarching vision, as well as supporting five specific LTP3 objectives; Chippenham being one of three Principal Settlements identified in the adopted Wiltshire Core Strategy. Being a key component of the draft Chippenham Transport Strategy, the proposed scheme will help realise site allocations identified across Chippenham. Keywords: road surface, roadworks, Highways
