The Future Flood Forecasting System will be a business critical system that links with various other systems (internal and external) and is therefore required to be high quality and robust. It works to underpin our Flood Incident Response work through provision of timely and accurate flood forecasts, using data from the Met Office and Flood Forecasting Centre, before running this data through modelling software. To deliver this service we will require all aspects of delivery to be supplied and maintained by a lead contractor. This includes; hosting, modelling software, disaster recovery etc. Production of a Flood Forecasting System. Hosting of the system. Service and support of the system.
