Real-time passenger information system

Tender description

Bristol City Council, on behalf of the West of England Authorities (Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol City, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire council's); is seeking to run a Soft Market Testing Exercise (SMTE) for Real Time Information (RTI) system contract. There are currently 10 bus operators participating in the real time information system. These are Abus, Bath Bus Company, Carmel Coaches, Crossville Motor Services, CT Coaches, Faresaver, First West of England, Severnside Transport, Stagecoach West and Wessex (part of the Rotala Group). Estimated value of potential contract is circa 5 000 000 GBP over a 10 year period.
