Tender description

The authority requires one new ‘Telehandler’ to work within a confined recycling shed to manage material handling of recyclable materials (paper, card board, cans and plastics). It should be noted that this is a ‘dusty’ environment. The machine will be used to manage the stock piles, feed a baling machine and load loose material into large containers and articulated Lorries. This machine will also act as a back up to a loading shovel working in the adjacent waste transfer station so will need to be robust for that type of environment. There is a requirement for the machine to be road legal as it will need to travel to another depot to load ‘sweepings’ into 40 cu yard containers.
