Tender description
The University of Manchester will be home to a new national research and innovation centre in advanced materials, the Sir Henry Royce Institute (SHRI). The new Institute, supported by industrial partners, will have its Hub in Manchester. The University wishes to appoint a Contractor or Contractors to supply a High Temperature Tribometer for the evaluation of surface treatments and coatings for high temperature tribological applications.to study friction and wear and characteristics of a variety of bulk materials and thin coatings under dry and lubricated sliding contact conditions. Contract start date — 12.12.2016 Contract end date — 27.3.2017 The contract is not open to other purchasers.
