Suffolk Coastal District Council and Ipswich Borough Council are undertaking a Local Plan Review to cover the period 2016 to 2036 and in line with the National Planning Policy Framework as they need to plan for their objectively assessed needs for housing and economic development. The Council is inviting quotes for a Retail and Leisure Study which amongst other matters will identify the need for new retail and leisure developThe contract is to appoint consultants to: Undertake research into retail, leisure and hospitality development needs and capacity, the health and hierarchy of town centres and appropriate town centre boundaries, Undertake consultation with key stakeholders, Prepare a report detailing the conclusions, Provide support and appear at a Local Plan Examination in Public if required. ment in the Districts over the period to 2036.
