GB-High Wycombe: SUPPLY OF REPLACEMENT TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER TRAINING EQUIPMENT

Tender description

The requirement is for the replication of the existing Transmitter units, receiver units and associated printed circuit boards. To achieve this, the selected manufacturer would be supplied with examples of the original equipment in order to “backward engineer” the new units. This would include, as part of the process, the production of Computer Aided Design (CAD) files for each board and also the generation of a component list for each. Each equipment has to comprise a powered (240v) Chassis Assembly and a full set of coloured cards. Each card will require CAD Data that will become the property of Number 1 Radio School (No 1 RS) to enable further spares to be purchased in the future. The cards must be single sided; single layer boards and populated with discrete components for fault finding purposes. Each board should have internal and external test points. The receiver is similar to the transmitter in construction with the exception of the number of boards (five) and their purpose. The requirement is for 16 x Transmitter and 16 x Receiver training equipment.
