Tender description
The Environment Agency (‘The Authority’) on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and Devolved Administrations is seeking to procure a service provider to manage and operate the UK Black Carbon Network, a network of air quality monitoring across the UK. The purpose of the Black Carbon Monitoring Network contract is to manage and operate the monitoring of Black Carbon at fourteen sites. The scope of the services to be provided includes, but is not limited to: —Management and operation of the monitoring sites —Provision/Co-ordination of Local Site Operators (LSOs) where applicable —Provision of consumables (tape) —Provision of equipment support and maintenance for all sites as detailed —Assisting with procurement of equipment as required —Collecting and storing data from all sites on the network —Provision of quality assurance for all data collated —Dissemination to Defra's Data and Dissemination Unit — H&S Management — Ad hoc assistance.
