004/2016 Managed Laundrette Services - AWARD

Tender description

Accommodation Services (ACS) currently provides in excess of 3000 study bedrooms of residential accommodation to its students. Details of our accommodation and sites can be found on our website at www.uwe.ac.uk/accommodation/ The University invites tenders from potential suppliers to provide the goods and services associated with providing laundrette facilities across Frenchay Campus, Glenside and The Hollies. Initially from June 2016 this will be in the form of a new laundrette provision at Wallscourt park phase 1, at present a temporary laundrette is provided at this site. This tender is also to replace the three existing laundrettes at the Frenchay Student Village (FSV) in Brecon, Quantock & Mendip servicing five courtyards including Carroll Court & Cotswold court. It is also to replace The Hollies & Glenside laundrettes. One of the existing laundrettes at the Frenchay Student Village in Cotswold will be closed and space unavailable. Finally planning permission has been sought for a further laundrette from September 2016 onwards into Wallscourt Park phase 2. Due to size constrains it may be necessary to fit a larger laundrette into Wallscourt Park phase 1, with phase 2’s laundrette being smaller.
