Request for Information: Intermediate Dermatology Service in Croydon

Tender description

NHS Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group wishes to engage with interested organisations in order to understand market ability and appetite to provide a more cost-efficient Intermediate Dermatology Service. The CCG aims to provide a service for non-complex Dermatology patients including low risk Basal Cell Carcinomas. The current service provides around 4,100 first appointments, 2,640 follow – up appointments and 430 minor operations. The current contract value is £536k per annum. Within this sum the aim is for patients to been within 6 weeks, preferably on a one stop pathway (both for surgical and non-surgical management). The CCG does not anticipate that there would be a significant need for follow–up. The contract for the new service will for three years from 1st April 2016 with the option of a further two year extension. Croydon CCG would like to hear views, suggestions and proposals from interested providers as part of this market engagement exercise.
