Tender description

The type of procedure to be adopted is a competitive procedure with negotiation. The subject matter of this OJEU notice is the proposed grant of an offshore transmission licence to a successful bidder(s) for the purpose of connecting a wind farm(s) to the GB onshore grid. Tender Round 5 (TR5) consists of five projects which are split into 2 groups. Group 1 consists of 3 projects and Group 2 consists of 2 projects. This notice relates to Group 1 only. A transmission licence is expected to be granted for each project. High level details about the projects are as follows: Project: Dudgeon; Developer: Statoil, Masdar and Statkraft; Limited Capacity(MW): 402 Project: Race Bank; Developer: DONG Energy; Limited Capacity(MW): 573 Project: Rampion; Developer: EON, Enbridge and Green Investment Bank; Limited Capacity(MW):400. Within GB territorial waters or the GB Renewable Energy Zone (as defined in the Renewable Energy Zone (Designation of Area) Order 2004 (SI 2004 No.2668). This project is subject to change. The following is currently identified as a qualifying project where we are tendering for the grant of an offshore transmission licence. Note that this is a qualifying project under regulation 8(6)(a) of The Electricity (Competitive Tenders for Offshore Transmission Licences) Regulations 2015 (the ‘Tender Regulations’). The location listed below is based on most proximate onshore points or on anticipated onshore connection points. Precise information will be made available in the tender documents. Project: Dudgeon; Developer: Statoil, Masdar and Statkraft; Limited Capacity(MW): 402 Location: 32km off the coast of Cromer, (North) Norfolk. Within GB territorial waters or the GB Renewable Energy Zone (as defined in the Renewable Energy Zone (Designation of Area) Order 2004 (SI 2004 No.2668). This project is subject to change. The following is currently identified as a qualifying project where we are tendering for the grant of an offshore transmission licence. The following is currently identified as a qualifying project where we are tendering for the grant of an offshore transmission licence. Note that this is a qualifying project under regulation 8(6)(a) of The Electricity (Competitive Tenders for Offshore Transmission Licences) Regulations 2015 (the ‘Tender Regulations’).
