Why the Work is Being Done Development of our SNOW environment has been undertaken through a delivery project to date, this project team are due to roll-off Jan 2017 and we require an interim capability whilst recruitment for this function is ongoing, with the new team expected to be active early Q2 2017 Problem to Be Solved The new capability must be able to: Enhance the capital asset ServiceNow Activation of plug-in’s, customisation and implementation that deliver business value and automation capability Using discovery tools to enrich the platform foundation data Operate a continuous improvement model to drive further efficiencies out from the asset Who Are the Users The SNOW team will provide services to HO DDaT Live Services. Priorities for the development team are managed via a governance board and a SNOW Product Lead Early Market Engagement None Work Already Done Some initial prioritisation of activity has already been undertaken. A SNOW Product Manager is currently being sourced who will lead and manage these resources. Existing Team The current interim provision for the dev ops team sits within the LS transition programme and this contractual provision for Developers will end in October. This will leave 2 junior resources that will be able to complete administration activities only Current Phase Not applicable Work Location Manchester and also 2 Marsham Street, London and Croydon. Occasional travel to other Home Office locations may be required. Working Arrangments Onsite full-time 5 days a week. Co-located with other Live Services resources Security Clearance SC Security Clearance is required to operate on this project. Must hold or be willing to undergo security clearance (SC) Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Scrum Master- Experience of Agile delivery across the ServiceNow platform. Scrum Master- Solid architectural understanding of SNOW Scrum Master- Experience of major SNOW development projects Scrum Master- Translate requirements from the Product Owner into plans working within the Product Team using Burn up Charts, Story Mapping, Release Plans and Team Velocity to develop these Lead Architect- Extensive experience of delivery of releases into a live complex, multi vendor implementation (SIAM) Lead Architect- Full end to end architectural assurance of projects delivered against existing implementation within a SNOW environment Lead Architect- Experience of Agile/SDLC delivery across the ServiceNow platform. Lead Architect- Take full architectural and technical accountability for all platform related deliverables and scope of the programme Systems Analyst- Solid experience of the ServiceNow platform Systems Analyst- Experience of working in a SIAM model Systems Analyst- Demonstrated ability of being able to capture, facilitate and translate business and system requirements for ServiceNow Systems Analyst- Experience of applying the use of required modelling and system analysis tools, methods and standards for major SNOW development projects SNOW Developer- ServiceNow System Administration Certification - Strong knowledge of JavaScript Web 2.0 Technologies, Web services and Web communication protocols, (Angular, Bootstrap - advantageous) SNOW Developer- Proficient with rapid development methodology (Agile/Scrum) SDLC SNOW Developer- Understanding of best practice ITIL v3 methodology SNOW Developer- Solid understanding of the application development lifecycle process, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control release management and deployment. Qualified in ITIL V3 methodology Nice to Haves Implementation specialist of SNOW Strong Understanding of DevOps principles. Experience of working in a challenging and complex public sector environment Excellent communications skills with the ability to translate and understand complex business requirements No. of Suppliers to Evaluate 4 Proposal Criteria Demonstrable experience in the knowledge of ServiceNow, in terms of developing and enhancing the toolset and of implementing new modules and capability.
