Tender description
Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit, acting on behalf of NHS England (Health and Justice, North Midlands) (i.e. the Commissioner) invites submissions from healthcare providers including third sector organisations, social enterprise and other providers to provide Integrated Healthcare Services (IHS) to the children and young people residing within Clayfields House and/or Lincolnshire Secure Unit. NHS England will be the contracting and commissioning authority for IHS. Since the service provision requirements at both of the Units are similar and share common service specification, performance framework and service objectives, the Commissioner has split the specification into two lots, to appoint providers for each of these units i.e. Lot 1 — Clayfields House Secure Unit and Lot 2 — Lincolnshire Secure Unit. Providers can bid for one or both lots. The service provision will cater for all children and young people whom reside within the Units and fulfil their regular healthcare needs. The current healthcare contracts will end on the 31.3.2017 and as a result the successful providers are expected to be fully operational, providing services from the 1.4.2017, with an anticipated mobilisation period of 2 months from 1.2.2017. For this service provision, the Commissioner would like to encourage innovative solutions including consortia, strategic alliances and sub-contracts which will deliver value for money and improved services for the children and young people. The service providers will be required to deliver an outcome based high quality integrated healthcare service to include provision of the following services and coordination amongst them: General Practice, Nursing, Mental Health, Substance Misuse (clinical and psychological), Health Promotion and Sexual Health. The Commissioner encourages innovation and use of technology within service delivery. They are seeking patient centred solutions for the provision of this service with the following aims: Deliver a high quality care which is flexible and meets the varying patient needs within both units; Find a provider who is able to work effectively and in partnership with the Secure Units within a secure setting; Establish contracts for services that have been market tested to represent best clinical quality. There will be a site visit for potential bidders to visit the Clayfields House Secure Unit on Wednesday 19.10.2016 at 10:30. A maximum of two attendees per organisation is permitted. Please make sure you message via the Bravo System by close of play Monday 17.10.2016 if you wish to attend. If you have not contacted us by this date you may not be able to attend the site visit.
