Fire-prevention installation works

Tender description

Paragon Community Housing Limited is an award-winning provider of around 9,000 affordable homes across 12 boroughs in West London and South East of England. The proposed Framework will allow for the delivery of Fire Safety Improvement Works to blocks owned and managed by Paragon to meet its responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 on approximately 720 blocks that fall under this legislation. The Framework will also allow for the installation of Automatic Fire Detection Systems and Emergency Lighting as required. The client may require the installers to undertake the servicing of their installations beyond the end of the defects period. Candidates should note that Paragon requires the main contractor to undertake all Fire Safety Improvement Works. Only Automatic Fire Detection System and Emergency Lighting installations may be sub-contracted by the main contractor. Candidates should note that the estimated Framework value is 9 600 000 GDP inclusive of VAT. The works will include the delivery of Fire Safety Improvement Works to blocks owned and managed by Paragon Community Housing Limited to meet its obligations and responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 on approximately 720 blocks that fall under this legislation. This can include but is not restricted to: — Supply and installation of Fire Doors — communal and individual dwellings — Supply and installation of fire signage — Passive Fire Protection and any associated works — Automatic Fire Detection System Installations (and servicing) — Emergency Lighting installations — In addition, sprinkler systems may also be included at Paragon's discretion. The annual estimated value for the works is 2 400 000 GDP. However, please note the estimated annual value of Fire Safety Improvement Works is 2 000 000 GDP with the additional works comprising the installation of Automatic Fire Detection Systems and Emergency Lighting estimated to be approximately 400 000 GDP per annum. Please note these figures are inclusive of VAT. Candidates should note that Paragon requires the main contractor to undertake all Fire Safety Improvement Works. Only Automatic Fire Detection System and Emergency Lighting installations may be sub-contracted by the main contractor. The main contractor will be required to hold all the required certifications for undertaking Fire Safety Improvement Works. Their chosen sub-contractor for Automatic Fire Detection System and Emergency Lighting Installations must hold all the required certifications for undertaking these works. It is envisaged that Paragon Community Housing Limited will enter into contract with a maximum of five contractors as a result of this procurement, subject to award. It is envisaged that a minimum of six contractors and a maximum of 10 contractors will be Invited to Tender.
