II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s) Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) is a Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) endorsed initiative funded through the European Commission ESIF 2014+ European Social Fund and ‘Youth Employment Initiative’ arrangements. The project covers the Birmingham and Solihull municipal areas which form the areas of greatest need within the wider GBSLEP geography in terms of youth engagement and unemployment. As part of the Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) project, tenders were invited for the delivery of the Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus Locality-Based Intervention Worker services for NEETs. Within this service area providers are required to recruit, employ, manage and deploy Intervention Workers who, on a case-loaded basis, will engage with, and provide holistic and tailored personal support to, NEET (Not Engaged in Education, Employment or Training) young people (15-29 year olds including both unemployed and economically inactive) with the specific aim of progressing them into positive outcomes including education, training, work experience and ultimately sustainable employment. The lots in P314 Contract 2 were as follows: — Lot 1 Locality Based Intervention Worker Services for NEETs in North Birmingham. — Lot 2 Locality Based Intervention Worker Services for NEETs in South Birmingham Locality. — Lot 3 Locality Based Intervention Worker Services for NEETs in East Birmingham Locality. — Lot 4 Locality Based Intervention Worker Services for NEETs in Lot 1.4 West Birmingham Locality. — Lot 5 Locality Based Intervention Worker Services for NEETs in Lot 1.5 Solihull Locality.
