This notice is for prior information only to invite organisations to contribute to market consultation activities. Warwickshire County Council, as lead authority for the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire (CSW) Superfast Broadband Project, intends to commence an Open procurement procedure to extend its next generation access (NGA) infrastructure. In advance of starting any procurement the project team are running: A Public Consultation for Contract 3 is currently underway and can be accessed via the project website: http://www.cswbroadband.org.uk A Bidder Information Day for the Contract 3 procurement will be held on 27.10.2016. Please respond to the CSW Broadband Team, bduk-consultation@warwickshire.gov.uk to book a place these consultation activities will help the Team define the procurement strategy and the use of Lots within the tender. Warwickshire County Council has previously invested public funds through two contracts to extend the availability of NGA infrastructure into areas where no commercial deployments were planned, as verified through State Aid Public Consultation processes. These contracts were designed to meet the UK Government's target of 95 % superfast coverage nationally by the end of 2017. The CSW Broadband Project has to date extended the reach of superfast broadband to more than 50,000 premises. The proposed procurement (Contract 3) being consulted here aims to secure a provider or providers to deploy NGA infrastructure delivering access line speeds of at least 30Mbps to premises that will not be reached by NGA deployments under the previous two contracts. The contract value is dependent on funding bids currently with the EU and LEP so a range from 8 000 000 GBP to 20 000 000 GBP is being advised to the market.
