To appoint a provider(s) to carry out inspections of existing and proposed private hire and hackney carriage vehicles to ensure that they meet the standards of fitness as set out in: (a) The Trafford Council Manual of Inspections; and (b) The Vehicle Inspectorate MOT Inspection Manual. Assurance — That the public can be assured of the safety and comfort of private hire and hackney carriage vehicles licensed by Trafford. Best Value; Ensuring competitive pricing coupled with a quality service delivery i.e. That inspections are carried out in an efficient and cost effective manner.
